The Punch Armadillo Safety Glove is a heavy duty sparring competition glove used by the more serious boxers and trainers. They have a thick padded fist and thumb which allows heavy hitting with less injuries and are injected with an armadillo padding which is a high memory density technology to provide maximum impact control for your safety and protection. Having a fully attached thumb means that there is no chance of getting your thumb caught when sparring or boxing as it is in a unique position to reduce thumb and knuckle injuries. The full wrap solid velcro wrist gives plenty of support around your wrist which is extremely important especially when using a heavy glove. The Punch Armadillo Safety Gloves are available in 12oz and 16oz. The heavier the glove, the more padding so there fore the heavier the punches can be thrown.

The sizes available include 12oz and 16oz and the Armadillo's come in black only. Choosing a size or weight is generally done by your body weight. Children begin with 6-8oz, 45kg to 50kg for the 10oz, 55kg to 65kg for the 12oz, 65kg to 75kg for the 14oz, 75kg to 90kg for 16oz and over 90kg would generally use the 18oz. This is of course a rough guide as everyone's hand is different in sizing. If you can try them on, this will allow you to get a perfect fit, however if you do not have the option to try on in store, using the above sizing guide should be suitable. 

When purchasing a pair of boxing gloves, it's always recommended to grab a pair of inners which can help prevent sweating, the glove from smelling and overall comfort. You can purchase 3 different types of inners from the basic white material glove that slips on and off with ease, to a quick wrap that is a hybrid between an inner and a full wrap to a hand wrap which is the most common one used for boxers. The hand wrap will give you the most precise support and comfort. Boxing glove deodorisers naturally reduce ordour and bacteria from forming inside the gloves by drawing out any moisture which helps prevent mould from forming. These non-toxic charcoal inners are simply put inside the glove after use and left inside until the glove is used again.

How should my gloves fit?

- Your boxing gloves should fit firm and snug, allowing room for wearing hang wraps. The glove will give a little over time so firm is best.

- Dry in a cool and shady environment after use every time to avoid them being used wet and avoid direct sunlight. Keep a deodorizer in them when not in use.
